UPDATE - Public Consultation Event - Gourock Waterfront Environmental Improvements Pre-planning Application Public Consultation

Riverside Inverclyde are proposing to undertake public realm and traffic improvements to Kempock Street, existing car parks and areas of land along the waterfront behind Kempock Street, Gourock. The proposals encompass Kempock Street, Kempock Street Car Park, the undeveloped "beach" area, Pierhead and the Network Rail Car Park, including some land fronting Shore Street.

Following a previous consultation earlier this year, Riverside Inverclyde wishes to consult further with the local community and interested parties on their revised proposals. A public exhibition will be held at the Old Gourock and Ashton Church Hall, 41 Royal Street, Gourock on Tuesday 13 December 2011 between 4.00pm and 8.00pm, at which representatives of Riverside Inverclyde and their Design Team will be available to answer any questions. A further public exhibition will also be held in Gourock Public Library between Monday 12 December 2011 and Thursday 22 December 2011, at which the proposals can also be viewed.

Forms will be available at both exhibitions for members of the community or interested parties to leave comments for Riverside Inverclyde to consider in developing their proposals further prior to submitting a Planning Application. We would appreciate it if any comments could be made by Thursday 22 December 2011.

Further information on the proposals may be obtained from Riverside Inverclyde's website (www.riversideinverclyde.com). Comment forms will also be available on Riverside Inverclyde's website during the course of the exhibition.

Comments made to Riverside Inverclyde are not representations to Inverclyde Council. If Riverside Inverclyde submits a Planning Application for their proposals, there will be an opportunity for members of the public and interested parties to make representations on that application to Inverclyde Council.
